THE BOB HAMITLTON JAZZ TRIO - U.S.A

The Bob Hamilton Jazz Trio was founded in 2008. Featuring Bob Hamilton on guitar, Portland, Maine bassist Chris Sprague , and NYC based drummer Noel Brennan, the trio serves up an adventurous mix of contemporary, traditional, and original jazz. This house band can push thru a hard driving Be-Bop  tune, a dirty Mingus blues, or an experimental take on a traditional standard. Playing host to an array of guest musicians, the trio aims to play exciting, spontaneous, and adventurous mix of all types of jazz.

One of Bob Hamilton's latest project includes bassist Eddy Nielsen and Daim de Rijke on drums. The trio plays jazz standards and originals, groves and swings hard, and can appropriately enhance any event. They are available for bookings for the Fall and Winter 2010-2011. The trio is also available for larger settings, such as working with singers or other instrumentalists, as a house band or jam session host, or in a guitar/bass duo setting.  If you are interested in a specific repitore (i.e. holiday music, 30's swing, boss novas, blues) please make sure to inquire well in advance.
